Blumira Leads G2’s Fall 2021 Momentum Report in 3 Categories, Completes SOC 2 Audit & Solidifies its Leadership Position with Significant Market Traction

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Nov. 17, 2021)Blumira, a leading cybersecurity provider of automated threat detection and response technology, today announced a series of additions to its leadership bench to support its rapid growth trajectory.

New senior-level hires include:

Blumira’s new hires join an already robust leadership team that includes top-tier security talent, many of whom previously held leadership positions at Duo Security, Censys, Groundspeed and DeepField (acquired by Nokia). The company now employs 40 people and continues to hire for a variety of positions, including Product Manager Lead and Director of Finance.

These new appointments come on the heels of a $10.3 million Series A round of financing and a period of explosive growth as demand for simple, automated and affordable security solutions has continued to accelerate.

Blumira has experienced tremendous market traction for its easy-to-use and quick-to-deploy threat detection and response technology. The company’s cloud-delivered security platform helps organizations of all sizes with limited security resources or expertise to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats faster to stop ransomware and data breaches.

Blumira was recently recognized by G2 as a Momentum Leader in three categories in the G2 Fall 2021 Grid® Reports which feature innovative products that have high-growth trajectories based on user satisfaction scores, employee growth, and digital presence. In addition to leading the way on G2’s Momentum Grid for SIEM (security incident and event management), SOAR (security orchestration, automation and response) and IDPS (intrusion detection and prevention system), Blumira also received a total of 24 honors including badges for High Performer, Best Relationship, Best Est. ROI, Best Support, Fastest Implementation and Best Results.

“Our team continues to take the complexity out of security management and to make security affordable and accessible to organizations of all sizes,” said Steve Fuller, co-founder and CEO at Blumira. “This has been a momentous year for Blumira. I am proud of our team’s many accomplishments and look forward to continued growth and success.”

Last month, Blumira announced that it has successfully completed a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2, Type 1 assessment performed by ByteChek Assurance. This audit attestation validates that Blumira’s security protocols and use of data meet strict data security requirements established by the AICPA (American Institute of CPAs). By verifying Blumira’s internal processes, procedures and controls are up to the highest security standards enforced by the AICPA, Blumira can ensure their customers’ organizations and data are protected.

“This was a huge milestone for our team,” said Blumira’s Co-Founder and CTO Matt Warner. “Successfully completing the SOC 2 examination shows our customers, partner, and the market at large the importance we place on security and building a cybersecurity product that customers can rely on and trust.”
